The Quitman Community Theatre is the brain child of Becky & Bob Hibbard.  We had been involved in live theatrical productions in the past in other communities, but we have happily come to reside in the Quitman area since 2004.  We felt that, as the "hub" of Wood County, Quitman had the potential to become even more of a cultural center if we, as relatively new "Quitmanians" would do our part to introduce live theatre here.

Our goals are six-fold:
* To provide quality theatrical productions to local play lovers;
* To introduce new theatre-goers to the wonderfulness of live theatre;
* To provide a venue for local actors to perform in without driving great distances;
* To teach new aspiring actors (of any age) how much fun acting is;
* To provide scholarships to deserving Quitman High School Drama Students
  (the QHS Drama Students will be providing concessions at  most QCT productions as their fundraiser); and
* To Help Make The World A Better Place By The Infusion Of Culture Into Our Society.

The Quitman / Central Wood County folks have welcomed us with open arms.  The response to our efforts to date (this is being written on May 27, 2007) has been most gratifying.

We should also mention the good people of the Carroll Green Civic Center Board, who have graciously chosen to allow us to perform on the CGCC stage.
